The Spirit of Africa. On All Walls.

Our purpose is simple: every home, every office, every hotel, every restaurant, every buidling should have a piece of Africa on their wall.

Our Story

House of Amila was created by Nkosi Lutho Zibi and Davina Zibi from a shared love of African art, culture and home.

We named it after our daughter, Amila. For us, her name represents the future, and the responsibility we have to preserve what matters while creating something meaningful for the next generation.

The art we create is inspired by the Africa we know and love: our people, our landscapes, our homes, our history and the quiet beauty found in everyday life. We want to create work that feels familiar, honest and proudly African, while still belonging in modern spaces.

House of Amila is also a proud initiative of the AmaHlubi Chairman’s Foundation. Proceeds from the business support the Foundation’s work in rural and socio-economic development.

This means that every piece purchased contributes, in some way, to work that supports rural communities and creates opportunities where they are needed most.

House of Amila is our way of honouring where we come from, creating something for our children, and using art to contribute to something bigger than ourselves.
